Ish acknowledgements

01 Map data

Country and US state outlines come from Natural Earth (opens in a new tab), which is in the public domain. No permission or credit is required. We credit it anyway: “Made with Natural Earth.”

The outlines are simplified so they can be drawn in 30 seconds. Borders and names in the game aren’t a statement on any territorial or political question.

02 Flags

The flags are drawn by us from each country’s published design. National flags aren’t protected by copyright in the way artwork is, and the game shows them only so players can draw them.

03 Fonts

Both fonts are under the SIL Open Font License 1.1 (opens in a new tab), which allows bundling them in an app.

04 Open-source software

Ish is built with open-source software. Each is used under its licence, and each licence’s copyright notice applies.

The Google Mobile Ads SDK itself is used under Google’s own terms.
